Toy Fair at the London Olympia has come and gone for another year. So what did 13km of walking find us this year? Here are our top games to look out for from Toy Fair this year:

Hummingbirds

Time your moves wisely and collect the most nectar tokens! In Hummingbirds, players take turns claiming flowers atop hidden sand timers, maneuvering for better positions, and checking for nectar. If a sand timer beneath a flower has run out, you collect a nectar token - but if you check too soon, you'll lose one! The longer you wait, the greater the reward, but misjudging the timing could cost you. Once all nectar tokens of a single colour are claimed, the game ends, and the player with the highest total nectar value wins.

 

Flip 7 with a Vengeance

Flip over cards one by one without flipping the same number twice.

In this standalone sequel to the original "Greatest Card Game of All Time", things get a lot more aggressive with the introduction of Negative point value and Steal cards.

Bella Vista

You are architects, striving to offer your residents the best possible view of the city’s parks. To achieve this, you must construct buildings of eight different heights, always aiming to be the tallest in the neighbourhood to score the most points!

Harvest Valley

Harvest Valley is a farming game in which players are trying to build up their farms as their neighbors encroach on their land. There are also wild boars and crows intent on eating crops! Whose farm will be the most successful?

A card game that feels like a tile-laying game. On your turn, either place a card from the display into a grid, or build one of your farmhouses. But not everyone wants your farm to have the biggest harvest!

On your turn, place a crop card or a farmhouse card on the shared grid. Once the grid is full, the game ends and the player with the highest score wins.

 

 

Catapult Feud

Build your castles, set up your troops, load your catapults and use your cunning tactics to win the day! The War for the Floor has begun once more!

Catapult Feud (original series was named, 'Catapult Kingdoms'), is a game of last person standing. Your objective is to knock down all your opponent's troops!

Starting with the youngest player, choose your family: Chaufort or Cunningfields. Then, use your bricks to build a castle to fortify your troops. Using your catapult, launch boulders in an attempt to destroy your opponent's castle and knock over their troops. When all troops of one family are knocked over, the battle is over. The winning family must have at least one troop standing upright.
